Business in the USA. NCBR opens recruitment for the acceleration program in Nevada.
NCBR once again expands opportunities for Polish startups and micro-enterprises, encouraging them to participate in the third edition of the NCBR-NAP acceleration program. This initiative enables the start of operations in Nevada and the development of their business.
The National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR) is looking for ambitious technology companies that would like to benefit from the support of experienced mentors from the state of Nevada. The aim of the programme is to acquire skills in developing business activities in the American market. Thanks to it, entrepreneurs will learn the secrets of building relationships with key partners.
Innovative model of cooperation with the USA
NCBR-Nevada Acceleration Program (NCBR-NAP) is a nationwide acceleration initiative, resulting from the Memorandum of Cooperation between Poland and Nevada. The program focuses on supporting young technology companies registered in Poland, whose tenure ranges from 6 months to 6 years.
The program is addressed to ambitious Polish entrepreneurs with global development potential. Working together with the startup ecosystem in Nevada, NCBR-NAP will for the third time enable the adaptation of Polish business ideas to the requirements of the American market, supporting entrepreneurs in their expansion overseas and raising funds for development in the USA.
"The NCBR's action is unique in several respects - argues Agnieszka Ratajczak, Director of the Department of International Cooperation at NCBR. - It provides a strong educational and developmental element through several months of support from experienced mentors, who themselves have repeatedly gone through the path of establishing, developing and exiting a company in the American market. Mentors approach each company individually and advise in all areas related to the preparation of a business plan and entry strategy into the American market. The whole process is designed to prepare the startup as best as possible for proper acceleration, including through a cycle of meetings with business partners and investors" - adds Ratajczak.
How to participate in the program?
To participate in the program, entrepreneurs must undergo a formal and substantive verification of applications and remote selection conducted by mentors from Nevada and California. After online meetings, the culmination point is a three-day Bootcamp Warsaw. It will start in February 2024 and it is a cycle of workshops, expert consultations and group work. After the bootcamp, startups must present their projects on Demo Day, where the ten best companies will be selected to go through the acceleration process in Nevada and California.
Nevada is a dynamically developing business and educational center, which attracts entrepreneurs from all over the world due to attractive business conditions. It has already attracted many investors, such as Amazon, Tesla or Panasonic. There are headquarters of giants, but also unique investments, such as the open-pit copper mine owned by KGHM Polska Miedź S.A.
Applications for the program are open until December 6, 2023.
