Remote and hybrid work. How do Poles rate this year's changes in the law?
This year's amendment to the Labor Code defined the rules for remote and hybrid work. For this reason, the platform for work, training, and online webinars - ClickMeeting, decided to ask employees about their assessment of the new law and its functioning.
The study results show that even before this year's changes in the law (introduced on April 7, 2023), even 28% of people worked remotely or in a hybrid manner. However, 31% of Polish employees believe that no training on tools facilitating online duties was conducted at their workplaces. At the same time, almost every third respondent declares that they would gladly supplement their knowledge in this area. Even 30% of respondents consider the new regulations to be beneficial. At the same time, 22% of respondents report that no changes were introduced in their companies, while 18% declare that they did not change anything significant. The law is negatively assessed by 6% of respondents, who claim that it only caused more chaos in their companies.
The study conducted by ClickMeeting also shows that 18% of Poles worked in a hybrid mode even before this year's changes in the law. Meanwhile, 10% of respondents performed their official duties fully remotely. After the changes in the Labor Code, 6% of people started using the possibility of remote work, and 3% - hybrid. Most, i.e. 64% of respondents, never had the opportunity to work remotely.
Respondents were also asked about their level of knowledge about tools facilitating remote and hybrid work. Interestingly, 31% of respondents believe they know them, and another 31% that they only partially know them. At the same time, 27% of all respondents declare that they do not know the tools that help in such forms of work. However, even 32% of people expressed a desire to participate in training on tools facilitating remote and hybrid work.
– The study results show that more and more people are interested in remote and hybrid work, and a large group is also interested in developing their skills in this area, e.g. by participating in training. The law is changing dynamically. In this context, it is important that the relationship between the employer and the employee in every company is based on partnership. The key factor is transparency – comments Martyna Grzegorczyk, Marketing Operations Manager at ClickMeeting.
Poles also answered whether their employer provided them with education in the field of tools useful for remote or hybrid work. In this case, 31% of respondents believe that there were no such trainings at their workplace, and 22% are not sure. Only 21% of respondents confirm that their employer provided employees with training in this area.
