Entities using the European Sovereign Cloud services will also have full control over the data and a guarantee that AWS will not use them for its own purposes. They will also gain access to the strongest mechanisms securing data independence - AWS representatives assure.

The new cloud computing will enable storage on EU territory of all metadata created by customers such as labels, data categories or configurations. It will also be equipped with its own billing and measurement systems. Operational issues and support for AWS European Sovereign Cloud will be entrusted exclusively to employees permanently residing in the EU territory.
