AI
Netscope: The use of AI in companies increased by 400% in 2023.
The latest research by Netskope indicates a dynamic increase in the use of artificial intelligence in the enterprise sector, which has increased by over 400% in the last year. There is also an annual increase of 19% in the number of cloud-based applications.
Netskope, a California-based company specializing in cybersecurity and SASE services, has been conducting research and operating in the Polish market for over a year, providing valuable data on trends in digital technologies in the corporate space.
AI is gaining strength
According to the latest Netskope report, currently every tenth employee of companies from various sectors uses at least one generative AI application per month. This is a 400 percent increase compared to last year. ChatGPT, on the other hand, was indicated as the most popular tool of this type, which is used even by 7% of the surveyed users.
Netskope experts also note that the most advanced user group is constantly looking for new applications for generative AI. According to predictions, thanks to the next possibilities of integrating this technology into everyday life, as many as 25% of the most active users may significantly increase their engagement in this area in 2024.
Cloud applications
In addition to AI, the popularity of cloud applications among companies is also growing. The study showed that the number of such applications used by companies is growing by an average of 19% per year. Currently, half of the employees use monthly from 11 to 33 different cloud applications, and in the case of 1% of users, this number exceeds 96 applications per month. Activity related to cloud tools has also increased, reaching nearly 2,000 interactions per month, while the most active users can generate even 50,000.
- Company employees very often, especially in times of hybrid work, send and download data using cloud applications. Cybercriminals know this well - notes Michał Borowiecki, Netskope's regional director for Eastern Europe, in the report.
- Hackers exploit security gaps, acting in such a way as to take over sensitive information, block access to critical resources, demanding a ransom for its restoration or even prevent the operational activities of companies, causing financial losses. Now their goal has also become attacks through artificial intelligence, which we are increasingly using. Therefore, it has become even more important to implement modern solutions in companies and enterprises that automatically eliminate threats - summarizes Borowiecki.
